Duke freshman are invited to visit the Duke Marine Lab to spend an afternoon touring the Beaufort campus and surrounding area. Duke Marine Lab faculty, graduate students and staff will serve as guides for students as they tour, cruise and enjoy a few good meals together. Attendees will also learn about how to enroll for residential courses in fall and spring semesters and two summer terms, open to all qualified Duke students.
Please bring closed-toe, rubber-soled shoes and sunscreen for the planned boat outing.
Being a vegetarian or a vegan is no problem for our dining hall! However, please let us know if you have dietary restrictions ahead of time.
The bus is expected at the Duke Marine Lab in time for lunch at 1 p.m. The bus will leave Durham no later than 9:15 a.m. (see full schedule below). Please arrive at the bus stop by 9 a.m. to get a seat. Thank you for being on time! The East Campus bus stop is by Main Street, close to West Duke Building by the Washington Duke Statue.

2 p.m. - Orientation in Repass Center
2:30 p.m. - Walking & Boat Tours Begin
5 p.m. - Free Time: mix and mingle with undergraduate student hosts, see dorm rooms, take photos, etc.
5:30 p.m. - Dinner in Dining Hall with current undergraduates
6:30 p.m. - Bus departure from Marine Lab
10:30 p.m. - Bus arrives on East Campus
