D&I Strategic Goals

The 2012 report Accelerating Diversity and Inclusion at the Nicholas School: New Beginnings developed the following goals that guide the Nicholas School’s work on diversity and inclusion:

  1. Increased diversity among professional degree students, doctoral students, undergraduate students, faculty and staff;
  2. A welcoming environment that embraces all differences;
  3. Programming that demonstrates school­wide recognition that stewardship of the 
environment affects all peoples; and
  4. Leadership at multiple levels that is itself diverse, regularly communicates the value
of diversity, and builds the capacity for open and candid diversity conversation.
