John Prendergast is a human rights activist and best-selling author who has worked for more than 25 years to promote peace in Africa, including serving as a special advisor on African affairs for the White House, the U.S. State Department, UNICEF and numerous other government and nonprofit agencies. He is co-founder of the Enough Project, an initiative to end genocide and crimes against humanity, and with actor George Clooney helped launch the Satellite Sentinel Project, which aims to use satellite imagery to help prevent conflict and human rights abuses.
