3rd Annual Nicholas School Reunion Weekend

The Nicholas School of the Environment is happy to announce its 3rd Annual Reunion Weekend. All Duke alumni and their families are welcome and encouraged to attend. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to connect with fellow friends and classmates, as well as Nicholas School Faculty and Staff! Registration is required for all events.

Friday, April 7th

Environmental Leadership: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow
Duke Environment Hall - Field Auditorium

Come and join a discussion with Nicholas School faculty, alumni, and students as they share their views on environmental leadership.

Nicholas School Update & Alumni Social
Duke Environment Hall – 5th Floor Boardroom

Join Dean Jeff Vincent as he provides an update on the Nicholas School in this informal discussion and answers questions. Light refreshments and tours of Environment Hall, led by current students to follow.

 

Saturday, April 8th

8am – 9:30am

8th Annual Duke Forest Pine Cone Pacer
Gate 12 of Duke Forest, NC-751

This morning run/walk is open to runners and walkers of all levels, and draws more and more alumni and community members every year. Money raised through registration goes toward Duke Forest restoration projects, including maintaining the network of recreational trails and protecting significant natural areas. The race also supports environmental education program expenses, such as transportation for tours and snacks for volunteers.

Pre-registration is $25 until Tuesday, March 28th @ 5pm. Registration will be available on the day of the race for $35. Pre-Registered participants will receive an event T-shirt. Availability of t-shirt sizes for participants who register on the day of the event cannot be guaranteed. All participants are included in a raffle for a variety of prizes.

Nicholas School 3rd Annual Reunion Picnic
Duke Environment Hall Patio & Orchard

Join us for the third annual picnic. Compete in various Field Day events and have your photo taken with family and friends. This relaxed event will include a formal group photo, tour of Environment Hall and an opportunity to catch up with alumni, faculty and friends. Lunch will be served.

$15 per person. Children, 12 and under, free.
