Join Duke Conservation Society this Friday (in Durham) to watch a live broadcast of a special presentation from the Marine Lab in Beaufort on the VaquitaCPR Project.

Dr. Andy Read will give the 20-30 minute talk and lead a Q&A discussion. Read is one of the 55 international experts who came together in an effort to save the most endangered marine mammal in the world- the vaquita. This last-ditch journey to capture the species’ few remaining individuals and save them from extinction used specially-trained US Navy dolphins, and is an attempt to show what humanity can do for the sake of saving biodiversity.

Snacks and drinks provided!
