Effective Date: July 1 - June 30 Fiscal Year

Overview / Summary

Fund provides limited financial support to help our MEM, MF, and DEL-MEM students attend professional conferences relevant to their career interests. The Conference Fund has an annual budget allotment; once depleted, no additional requests will be considered for that fiscal year. Funding can be requested/awarded only one time each fiscal year.

Policy

The Nicholas School is pleased to be able to provide limited financial support to help our MEM, MF, and DEL-MEM students attend professional conferences relevant to their career interests. Each student is eligible to apply for up to $300 in reimbursable funding to attend or present at one conference during fiscal year July 1 – June 30.

To apply for any Nicholas School student funding you must be in good academic standing and currently enrolled at time of professional meeting/conference.

Requests are evaluated on a first come, first served basis. Submission of a funding application does not guarantee funding, and funding is typically exhausted before the end of the academic year. In order to support as many different experiences as possible, CPDC reserves the right to limit the number of students funded to attend any one particular conference.

An award letter will be sent to each student approved for funding. Requests for funds may be submitted up to 4 weeks before the early registration deadline and must be submitted prior to the conference dates. No retroactive funding is available; all requests must be submitted prior to dates of conference/meeting.

All funding is provided on a reimbursement basis. After returning from the conference, students are required to complete a short survey and submit receipts to student services, LSRC A101 prior to reimbursement.

Students are not eligible for conference funding for events that occur less than 45 days prior to an individual's graduation date.

Procedures

There is no retroactive funding; all requests must be submitted prior to dates of conference/meeting. See application guidelines and link to request conference funding.
