Career Treks Program

There's just no substitute for person-to-person interaction. Our innovative Career Treks program is designed to bring students and organizations into the same room to spark new ideas and foster meaningful, mutually-beneficial relationships.

Career Treks allow small groups of students to travel to companies and organizations involved in environmental and natural resource issues. These onsite visits, which last 1-2 hours, can include information sessions, case studies, networking, or other activities.

Benefits for Students

A Career Trek visit is a great opportunity to learn about an organization and generate ideas for a Master's Project, internship, or job. It's also a valuable chance to ask tough questions and see how decisions are made in complex, real-world situations.

Benefits for Organizations

Meeting with Nicholas School students gives organizations a chance to share their vision, challenges, and culture with top-notch individuals who are passionate about the environment. Career Treks visits generate lively conversations that can help organizations identify new talent or spark collaborations for summer internships or Client-Based Courses & Master’s Projects.
