Dear Students –

In these trying times, it is important that we remember that we are a community. We are all majors, minors and concentrations. We are undergrads, professional masters students, and PhD candidates. We are all divisions. We are the Nicholas School. We are Duke.

We stand united in our love and care for the environment and for you, our students. We want you to know that we are here for you – to inform you, to support you, to guide you.

We send our care and goodwill to those students at Duke who have been touched by this illness, and are assured by the University that they have received care, are self-quarantining, and are in good health.

I urge you to continue to follow the guidance you have been receiving, continue to practice social distancing, continue to monitor your own health, and to support one another wherever possible.

We are committed to seeing you through this semester. I will hold a virtual Town Hall for students this Friday, March 20, at 10 am, so that I can provide you with the most up to date information we have and answer any questions that you may have.
