Support from Durham

The Marine Laboratory has easy access to professionals in Durham who can coach us in developing conversations within our community about diversity and awareness and issues regarding our sense of inclusiveness.  We draw on these professionals throughout the year and celebrate the expertise they share with us.  If you have ideas of issues you would like to see discussed, please find a way to let one of the Marine Lab administrative staff know.  We want to create a culture of support and be proactive rather than reactive.

The Duke Durham professionals are also available to provide confidential support to members of our community, and we provide contact information below.  Members of our Island community also find ways to offer support to others who may feel alone.  For those of you who seize these opportunities, your inclusiveness is valued and we all learn important lessons from you.
