The Nicholas School of the Environment has announced it will not hold the Duke LEAF Award ceremony in spring 2015 and will focus on welcoming back its alumni to campus during Duke Reunions Weekend April 17-19.
The Duke LEAF Award was launched in 2009 to honor a nationally recognized artist for Lifetime Environmental Achievement in the Fine Arts. The school values both the history and the intent of this award, and will continue to seek ways to recognize and promote links between the arts and the environment on several fronts. In the near term, the LEAF Award is being evaluated in this broader context, and in the context of school-wide strategic planning under the leadership of the new dean.
Nicholas School alumni will be notified about upcoming reunion events by email. Event information also will be posted on nicholas.duke.edu.
