Lauren Fety currently works for The Conservation Fund in northern California.

She is involved in the North Coast Forest Conservation Initiative which manages nearly 74,000 acres of redwood-Douglas fir forestland. Her focus is modeling and reporting for carbon offsets credits in the California carbon market. Fety is primarily responsible for data wrangling. However, she can sometimes be found out in the woods assisting with Timber Harvest Plan preparation and restoration projects.

Prior to attending the Nicholas School, Fety worked for the Bureau of Land Management in Oregon and California as well as for the American River Conservancy in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. She has a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Swarthmore College.
