Brian serves as Vice President and Senior Ecologist with BioResource Consultants, Inc. (BRC), an environmental consulting firm based in Ojai, California. With BRC, Brian manages a variety of interdisciplinary environmental projects throughout California and western states including focused environmental studies, ecological restoration, analysis of renewable energy, and natural resource management. As principal investigator, he has designed and managed several focused community ecology studies, including a three-year riparian vegetation dynamics study in collaboration with research faculty at the Nicholas School. His corporate responsibilities include membership of BRC's executive committee, management of the company's biology/water quality group, marketing, proposal/grant writing, project design and quality control. Brian has lead BRC from CY06 sales of $1 million to CY12 sales exceeding $4.2 million.

Brian also serves as a member of the board of directors for the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy and Project Director for on-going restoration projects in the Ventura River Watershed. For over 12 years, he has been working on ecological restoration projects in various southern California watersheds. In 2011, Brian was the recipient of the Ventura County Climate Change Action Award (Research and Planning Category) recognizing his efforts in riparian restoration projects. In addition, he is an active a member of the Ventura County Search and Rescue Team, where he volunteers to help rescue injured or lost backcountry hikers and climbers. Brian lives in Ojai with his wife Camille, their daughter Skylar, and they are expecting their second child in August.
