Stuart Iler has a broad set of professional experiences that span energy, environment, economics, and information technology.

He is currently a Policy Analyst at the nonprofit Bipartisan Policy Center in Washington, DC, where his work encompasses a range of federal energy policy issues, such as the electric power sector, energy technology, and oil and natural gas development. One of Stuart's key focuses has been a project on the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS), which has included the commissioning of background papers; research on the RFS program; formation of an RFS advisory group of outside stakeholders; and the development of 40 policy options to reform the RFS.

Prior to joining the Bipartisan Policy Center, Stuart worked as a Research Analyst at the Duke University Energy Initiative in Durham, NC. His research focused on the dynamics of the global energy outlook, including historical trends, fuel-by-fuel considerations, and comparison of future energy projections. Part of this work was the design and implementation of a software framework to compile, standardize, and analyze energy data from a range of government and industry sources.

Beginning in the fall of 2015, Stuart will continue his work in these areas through pursuit of a PhD in Public Policy at Harvard University.
