In early 2015, Jack co-founded Kunoa, a vertically integrated Hawaii meat company. Since that time, Kunoa has raised $3.5M in equity financing, developed ranching assets on Kauai, acquired the state's largest meat processing plant on Oahu, and launched new products into groceries and restaurants across Hawaii.
Kunoa was selected as a Savory Hub Candidate in 2017 (Savory Institute), Cleantech/Ag Entrepreneur of the Year in 2017 (Hawaii Venture Capital Association), Best New Business in 2017 (Pacific Edge magazine), and Jack was named to the "40 Under 40" by Pacific Business News in 2017. Kunoa is also a member of several competitive start-up accelerator programs, including Elemental Excelerator (Honolulu/Palo Alto), Mana Up (Honolulu), and Food Systems 6 (Palo Alto).
