Immediately following his graduation from the Nicholas School in 2012, Scott worked as a backcountry ranger at Shenandoah National Park where he was able to continue his Masters Project research on wilderness conditions on Shenandoah’s Old Rag Mountain. He subsequently moved cross-country to work as a social scientist at Yosemite National Park. While at Yosemite, he researched wilderness carrying capacity, front-country trail use, and vehicular traffic patterns, contributing data and analyses to several environmental reviews. He has since returned Virginia, where he is currently serving as the Director of Sales and Client Relations for Antimicrobial Therapy, an international medical publishing company. In his spare time, Scott volunteers for Shenandoah National Park and the Virginia Outdoors Foundation, and enjoys hiking and kayaking throughout the Shenandoah Valley region.
