Matthew provides strategic guidance to energy clients on the convergence of technology, society, markets and policy. As an industry thought leader on the rapidly evolving electric and gas utility sector, energy product and service innovation, and customer experience, he takes a holistic and long-term view of the energy consumers and supporting technology. Matthew is closely tied to the cleantech community, serving as a department head for the Energy Fellows Institute, co-chair for the Cleantech Open, and an advisor to early-stage energy startups. 

Matthew currently drives E Source's product development, strategic partnership and business development efforts, on top of advising 50+ of the largest North American utilities. He is a nationally recognized speaker and author on energy technology, product innovation, policy and societal trends, as well as customer experience strategy. His research has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Energy Central, Intelligent Utility, Fierce Energy, and other respected publications. Matthew currently serves on the board of directors for Clean Air Now (CAN), lead two elected terms as Marketing Chair for the Association of Energy Service Professionals (AESP), was former President of the Hydrogen Energy Center (HEC), as well as a research analyst for Governor Baldacci's Maine Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Partnership.
