Davie Nguyen is a Program Analyst at the U.S. Department of Interior's Bureau of Ocean Energy Management. Charged with carrying out the Bureau's oil and gas leasing operations, Davie works to manage the nation's offshore resources to ensure that production and drilling are done in an environmentally and economically responsible manner. This includes development and implementation of the Five Year Oil and Gas Leasing Program, and coordinating and developing lease terms, conditions, and mitigation measures for sales of Federal acreage on the Outer Continental Shelf.

Prior to joining BOEM, Davie worked at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on a number of projects related to ocean management, including the implementation of U.S. obligations under the International Convention on Disposal of Wastes into the Ocean, and the development of a technical framework for sub-seabed sequestration of carbon dioxide on the Outer Continental Shelf.
