As a Market Design Analyst at PG&E, Maureen monitors the California electricity and greenhouse gas market performance to identify potential market design inefficiencies, and inappropriate market behavior. She also develops and advocates market design strategies, policies and rules at CAISO, FERC, and the CPUC to minimize costs and risks to PG&E customers.

Maureen also volunteers her time to several employee resource groups at PG&E that engage new employees and spread environmental awareness. Outside of work, she volunteers installing solar panels on low income houses in the Bay Area. Maureen enjoys developing her SAS and power tool skills in equal measure.

Prior to working at PG&E, Maureen was an Energy & Environment student at the Nicholas School focusing on the role of technology, policy, and economics in driving renewable energy development. Maureen came to Duke after four years as a Distributed Generation Specialist at the North Carolina Solar Center. She also holds a B.A. from UNC Chapel Hill in Environmental Studies.
