David Rosoff is a Senior On-Scene Coordinator and Geologist for the United States Environmental Protection Agency.  Working out of Region II in New Jersey, he has been a part of several large scale environmental cleanups and serves as part of the Region II emergency response team, responding to oil and chemical spills, natural disasters and other threats to human health and the environment.  Significant projects Dave has worked on include the Hudson River PCB cleanup, the response to the collapse of the World Trade Center, environmental issues associated with hurricanes Katrina and Sandy and the BP oil spill.  Dave has been involved in the investigation and cleanup of over 60 hazardous waste sites in New York, New Jersey and the Caribbean.  His specialty is in the fate and transport of chemical contamination in soil, ground water and surface water.  However, work experience has also made him an expert in water treatment, soil remediation and riparian (sediment) assessment and cleanup.

While focusing on the scientific and technical nature of his job is primary, Dave also enjoys and excels at interacting with communities impacted by the releases of chemical contamination.  He also shares his experience by actively mentoring younger EPA staff and by guest lecturing at elementary schools to inspire inner city youth to explore geology and the sciences.
