Summer Intern, Rocky Mountain Institute, Basalt, CO
Built an Excel model to estimate the potential of lighting energy efficiency in western Africa. Analyzed various data sources to gather data on household characteristics and energy use. Honed complex problem-solving skills by piecing together unrelated data to calculate the savings of energy efficient lights in households. Conducted literature review of lighting standards from around the world to inform my project on Africa. May – July 2017
Hardware Design Engineer, Nippon-Seiki International Ltd, Troy, MI
Participated in design and validation of instrument clusters for 5 General Motors vehicles. Used Zuken CAD software for PCB design and troubleshooting. Assigned hardware engineering lead for Chevrolet Camaro project. Served as liaison between software, mechanical and hardware team, and reported progress to GM. February 2014 – August 2015
Student Intern, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi, India
Worked on a Government of India funded project titled “Testing and Long-term performance evaluation of Solar PV lighting systems”. Conducted and documented tests including luminous intensity, current draw, solar PV voltage output, etc. on various solar lighting systems. Assisted on market analysis of solar home lighting systems by interacting with local sellers and obtaining sale and specification information. Only intern selected to attend training session on PV technologies at Texas Instruments in New Delhi. July – August 2012
