Senior Mechanical Engineer 2017, Mechanical Design Engineer 2014 – 2017, Primus Power, Hayward, CA
One of two engineers in charge of mechanical design of balance of plant (electrolyte tanks, piping, structural components) for EnergyPod, company’s flagship product: a 25kW, 125 kWh zinc-bromine hybrid flow battery. Manage schedule, supply chain and logistics of balance of plant, electronics assemblies for production system. Complete fluid, structural analysis using tools from spreadsheet models to assembly finite element model. Decreased cost of balance of plant by over 75% while maintaining battery performance via design changes, strategic content deletion, supply chain optimization and supplier negotiations. Defined systems and performance requirements of balance of plant driven by system level fluid, chemical, electrical, thermal, packaging and manufacturing constraints. Worked with the technology and testing teams to bring pH control sub-system from conception to small-scale prototype to production system in under 6 months which dramatically increased the product stability. Pitched and implemented new interdepartmental task management and tracking software.

Kappa Alpha Theta Structural Chair, Booth Building Competition 
Acted as organization’s sole structural/engineer chair in charge of engineering plans, schedule, materials, logistics. Designed 650 sq ft, 2-story structure to building code, worked with structural experts to approve plans. Led, educated and organized a team of 90 women to safely construct a structure in under a week. Won 1st place in both the category competition and environmental award for the booth two years in a row. 2010 – 2012
