David has been a senior coverage banker in Wells Fargo/Wachovia Energy & Power Investment Banking Group since 1995. He has been involved in investment banking and the capital markets for 26 years and prior to Wells Fargo/Wachovia worked for Lehman Brothers, First Union and a predecessor of JP Morgan. Since 1995, David has originated lead manager roles across a broad spectrum of capital markets products including M&A, equity, equity linked, fixed income and various interest rate and commodity derivatives. A number of these transactions have been recognized by clients and competitors for their innovative structures, competitive pricing and superior execution.
David’s current coverage includes top tier industry participants in regulated power and transmission, integrated gas, midstream gas processing, gas transmission and storage, non-regulated power and alternative energy sectors. His success through several cycles is a direct result of a focus on
the highest quality management teams and a broad-based, client-centered, expansion of Wells Fargo/Wachovia’s investment banking platform and capabilities. He currently serves on Well Fargo/Wachovia’s Environmental Task Force and has been leading the effort to develop the firm’s carbon policy and product development. Board memberships include the Gladney Center for Adoption in Ft. Worth, Texas and the Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico. David earned a BBA in Finance from the University of New Mexico and resides in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife and two children.
