Graduate Student Researcher, UN Global Compact Duke Team, Durham, NC
Co-authored the Sharing Information on Progress report for the Nicholas School’s application to the UN Global Compact’s Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), which provides student research opportunities. Co-lead a team of graduate students on a WikiRate research project analyzing corporate commitments to UN SDGs. Spring 2017-Present.
 
Sustainability Intern, Constellation Brands Inc. (CBI), Rochester, NY
Designed facility level toolkits for a Sustainability Planning Guidebook for CBI wineries, vineyards and distilleries describing best practices in energy use, waste management, sustainable packaging and sustainable agriculture. Analyzed and researched sustainability trends in the industry and provided recommendations for how best to respond. Summer 2017
 
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Graduate Student Research Team, REI, Duke University
Conducted a LCA for an REI down jacket using OpenLCA software and wrote an Environmental Product Declaration. Designed a poster presentation by using data visualization and marketing the results in terms consumers understand. Presented recommendations that will reduce the jacket’s environmental impact by 87% to REI executives, including VP of Sustainability, and poster presentation was displayed at REI headquarters. B Lab Graduate Student Researcher, Broadreach, Inc., Raleigh, NC
Collaborated with Broadreach CEO and NC State’s B Corp Clinic to help Broadreach become B Corp certified. Wrote energy factoids to increase employee engagement and reduce environmental impact in the home office, resulting in a gain of 10 points in 3 months on Broadreach’s B Impact Assessment.
