Joseph is a second year Master of Environmental Management student focusing on Energy and Environment. He grew up on a small farm in South Carolina and earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemistry from Erskine College while playing NCAA Baseball. Joseph has spent his time here at the Nicholas School learning how renewable energy sources can be smoothly and efficiently integrated into daily life and how energy sustainability can be achievable for everyone. The Nicholas School has taught him how to think holistically about society’s energy needs and how to meet those needs in the most sustainable methods. His interests include utility scale renewable energy, next-gen utilities, and sustainable transportation. Joseph spent his summer working at a residential and commercial solar developer completing financial modeling and feasibility analyses. After graduating, he hopes to begin a career in energy consulting or the renewables division of a large utility.
Outside of school, Joseph goes to every Duke Basketball game he can and spends most of his recreational time playing sports or outdoors. He looks forward to speaking with you!
