Assist in ongoing research under Dr. Avner Vengosh and his Water-Energy Research Group both in the lab and field. Prepare kits for gathering water quality samples from the field; includes acid washing bottles and buffering with various acids. Process alkalinity samples, using acid titrations to determine biocarbonate contents of sample. Processing samples for ICP-MS, thermal ionization mass spectrometer, analysis of RadioNuclides and stable isotopes. Fall 2017 - Current

Provided instruction of and implementation of various containment or exclusion methods for spills on inland water ways. Mapped and researched Precambrian rock outcrops in northern YNP, culminating in a poster presentation at national conference. Collected and processed samples for laboratory analysis in geochemistry and geochronology, for a multi-year collaboration. Determined the pressure and temperature based on metamorphic assemblages found in thin-sections from samples.
