Professional Experience

Associate Energy Specialist, CALIFORNIA ENERGY COMMISSION
Managed technical evaluations of 20+ thermal energy projects and held project owners accountable for environmentally sustainable energy infrastructure development, implementation, and operation. Consulted with State and Federal agencies on energy technology, development, infrastructure, and power plant siting issues. Served as divisional lead to the BOEM/California Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Task Force. Analyzed rebate applications, managed accounts, and allocated funds pertaining to the New Solar Homes Partnership portion of the $2.167 billion California Solar Initiative. Wrote, organized, and edited the 2016 Environmental Performance Report with a multidisciplinary team of colleagues.
 
Integrated Environmental Resource Management Volunteer, UNITED STATES PEACE CORPS
Consulted with 4 Fijian governmental agencies, 10+ NGOs, and dozens of local entrepreneurs on sustainable natural resource management, land use planning, and infrastructure development. Managed, coordinated, and facilitated 13 environmental education outreach programs and sustainable resource use workshops at symposiums and in rural communities. Collaborated with 8 fellow Peace Corps volunteers on public health, small business, and environmental work-share projects. Created, developed, and managed the project plan for a multipurpose aquaculture hatchery and resource center in Fiji’s Northern Division, with the goal of meeting the yearly stock demand of ~90 aquaculture farms by producing 500,000 juvenile fish and 3 million juvenile prawns per year.
