Tim Swavely was born and raised in Central Pennsylvania. While living in Central Pennsylvania Tim became very active in outdoor activities and it was these activities which helped ignite his interest in the environment. After completing an Associate’s degree he later when on to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management.
Tim has handled environmental issues within multiple industries such as; healthcare, defense, chemical manufacturing and animal nutrition. While working with Raytheon, Tim managed all environmental issues for the AUTEC (Atlantic Undersea Testing and Evaluation Center) located on Andros Island in the Bahamian Islands. Tim’s duties included working with the United States Navy and the Bahamian Government handling invasive species issues, large mammal death investigations, environmental remediation projects and regulatory audits and policy development.
While working within the chemical industry and animal nutrition Tim handled all the environmental reporting and policy development while leading efforts for more sustainable development and recycling efforts.
Tim currently works for Fermented Nutrition Corporation of Luxemburg, Wisconsin which developed a process of recycling waste material from cheese and dairy production and converting it into a nutritional supplement for dairy cows.
