I am a Ph.D candidate in Prof. Jim Hench's shallow water physical oceanography lab. My research focuses on understanding the hydrodynamics of coastal environments using both numerical modeling and field measurements. I am particularly interested in nearshore and mesoscale flow dynamics in coral reef island environments, and am motivated by how these physics inform the interpretation of ecological data such as larval recruitment and organismal behavior.
