Lindsay Vacek has worked and lived in Washington, DC for the past 8 years and offers experience in various nonprofit environmental settings. In her current work at the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, she coordinates competitive grant programs located in the southeast. Current initiatives include longleaf pine restoration, Gulf coast conservation, and community-based stewardship of natural resources. She is originally from the Chicago area and holds a BA in International and Global Studies with a concentration on the Global Environment from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, cycling, and rooting for the Chicago White Sox and Washington Nationals.
