Duke's Nicholas School of the Environment professional and PhD students were celebrated by faculty and staff on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 with an in-person commencement ceremony in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Those students who were unable to attend the ceremony in person were still able to hear their names read via a livestream of the event.

Twenty five students earned their doctoral degrees, 157 students earned their Masters of Environmental Management, and 2 students earned their Masters of Forestry degree. Three students celebrated virtually from Duke's Kunshan campus, earning their International Master of Environmental Policy degree.

Duke Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony

Duke is planning on a limited, in-person commencement ceremony for the undergraduate members of the class of 2021 on Sunday, May 2 from 9 to 11 a.m. As the effects of a global pandemic continue to evolve, Duke is working with health & safety and state officials to create a safe and well-coordinated action plan.
