Farewell to a DUWC Visiting Scholar


DUWC's Visiting Scholar Dr. Jianqing Tian has returned home to China after a two-year residency at Duke. She is a Research Associate at the State Key Lab of Mycology at the Chinese Academy of Science Institute of Microbiology in Beijing, where her research focuses on microbial community structure in wetlands. Back home, she will continue to collaborate with the Wetland Center on studying the effects of drought on microbial population responses, carbon sequestration, and GHG losses in coastal wetlands of the Southeastern United States.
