TIDE Talks - Andy Read November 2023

 

Please join us for a TIDE Talk on Tuesday, November 7th, at 8:00 pm to hear Dr. Andy Read discuss the plight of the endangered North Atlantic Right Whale in his talk, “North Atlantic Right Whales in Crisis: Urgent Conservation Action is Needed to Prevent the Extinction of an Iconic Species.”

Dr. Read is a conservation biologist, Professor of Marine Biology, Chair of the Marine Science & Conservation Division, and Director of the Duke Marine Lab. 

The seminar will take place at Duke’s Durham campus (Brodhead 068) and will be live streamed at the Marine Lab in Repass Lecture. Refreshments will be served at 7:40 and the stream will begin at 8:00 pm and will last approximately 30 minutes, followed by a question-and-answer session with the speaker.
